Sometimes we have to re-listen to our own songs for encouragement. A little positive reinforcement goes a long way. We think it’s ironic that we’re learning from our own selves. It’s a comfort to know we have such keen insights and give such good advice. We should listen to ourselves more often. We hope you do the same. In Celebration Of Gers Yowell 1923-2011
Last week I was saddened by the passing of my father, Gers Yowell. He was a true Renaissance Man. Aside from being a warm, loving and supportive father, he was creative in every thing he did. He always had a way of fixing things, he could make anything work. He was an inventor, an artist, a comedian. He was a little Einstein. He was nuts in a good way. Moving forward
Drew and I had a great session last night. We have been trying a new approach to recording the songs. We are recording live piano and vocal, going for feel and not so much the heavy mechanics. We'll see how it works out.
Making some changes
Kenny and I have been making some changes to the site. Tonight I will start to record some of our new material at Drew's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will have that for you to listen to sooner rather than later.
