Last week I was saddened by the passing of my father, Gers Yowell. He was a true Renaissance Man. Aside from being a warm, loving and supportive father, he was creative in every thing he did. He always had a way of fixing things, he could make anything work. He was an inventor, an artist, a comedian. He was a little Einstein. He was nuts in a good way. While he had many talents his greatest passion was music. He was a brilliant Saxophone player. He always encouraged me to follow my dreams and passions without the limits of conformity. He inspired me to listen to the Piano in my head.
